내용요약 (Summary)
The Corporate Income Tax and Incentives Rationalization Act (CITIRA) might have disadvantages that could outweigh benefits.
This is to both foreign investors and hundreds of thousands of Filipinos with jobs. It can create instability in the country’s investment policies and laws.
It also eliminates tax incentives that make the country globally competitive.
CITIRA proposes to streamline fiscal incentives, but also reduce corporate income tax (CIT). According to the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) representative, CITIRA would destroy “a highly successful incentives system that foreign investors benefit from.”
This would result in the loss of 700,000 jobs in the first year of its implementation.
